From October 20th through November 4th in our Mystic and Westbrook, Connecticut stores, Southern Exposure will celebrate Dia de los Muertos. This festive holiday in Mexico is a time for remembering loved ones who have passed on. In keeping with the Mexican tradition, we will decorate both stores for the festivities and have an Ofrenda (altar) as well.
Both the Mystic and Westbrook stores have switched to Fall Hours; Monday through Sunday (seven days a week) 10 am to 6 pm for your shopping convenience. We are enjoying a beautiful Fall here in New England and we'd always be happy to see your smiling faces at the shops in Mystic or Westbrook!
We are back from a buying trip to Colorado where we found lots of new things from out west…. of particular note are some wonderful new Porcelain Pottery Vases, more of those great Wildlife Statues made with Alabaster, and a collection of old Navajo Jewelry from the 30’s and 40’s made with petrified wood “stones” from Northern Arizona. We also stumbled onto a collection of Pawn Jewelry and bought a basketful of that too so there are terrific Jewelry choices old and new!
